In light of the global energy shortage, coupled with the rising interest in eco-friendly and renewable fuel resources, our company explored a number of opportunities in the regenerative and renewable resources sector. We believe that raw materials for biodiesel development should be commercially viable, environmentally friendly to produce, and socially acceptable; therefore, biofuel feedstocks should not be derived from human or animal food sources, and should not be cultivated at the expense of deforestation or on land that could otherwise be used for growing food crops.
Through extensive research and investment, we have identified Jatropha curcas as the most suitable raw material for biodiesel. In 2007 our company established important foundations for its Jatropha-based bio-energy businesses in Hainan and Laos. |
